We left for the start of the race on Thursday, June 13th. We could not leave until late afternoon since Barb had work and I had school. The weather was a little dicey as a low pressure moved up the coast and a cold front moved in from the west, we successfully outraced the storms to the south and found a gap to go west, First stop was Lynchburg, VA where we got fuel and then we went on to Knoxville, TN. A 30 knot head wind meant we had to stop for the night in Knoxville. Below are some pictures from the day.
Having trouble posting all the photos in one post so I split them up over three posts.
